Rocche di Sant'Anna - Valle Fico dei Ponti

From the westernmost part of the city, starts the path that leads to the Rocche di Sant'Anna and the old Roman bridges. A short but fairly demanding path, which will take you to admire a breathtaking spectacle! Arriving at the remains of the Church of Sant'Anna, on the rocky hill overlooking the sea, a bench is positioned from which it is possible to admire the entire Gulf of Tigullio, the hills of Genoa, the Ligurian and Maritime Alps and, in the clearest days, some islands of the Tuscan archipelago and Corsica. Everything is surrounded by typical Mediterranean flora, including prickly pears, myrtle plants, holm oaks, tree heather and many others.

Punta Baffe

The itinerary starts near the Riva Trigoso cemetery, in Via Valle Lago, less than 1 km from the campsite. You start by climbing first on a dirt driveway, then on a rather easy path, skirting fences with geese, goats and sheep.

Already at one of the first curves, one of the most beautiful views of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante will open on the right: the Bay of Riva Trigoso.

The path becomes steeper and then becomes flat towards the destination: the watchtower of Punta Baffe. From here it is possible to continue along other paths or return to the beginning of the path and enjoy the beautiful Renà beach, dominated by the unforgettable Scoglio dell'Asseu and its cross.

From the center of Sestri Levante it is possible to take the path that leads to Punta Manara. It begins by climbing up a staircase between high walls, villas and vegetable gardens, quickly transforming itself into a dirt path. Approaching the destination, the slope decreases and, through some olive groves, you reach a panoramic point at the Mandrelli farmhouses. Continuing, the path climbs up a series of rocky steps on the side of Monte Castello, and then softens again, among maritime pines and shrubs. We then arrive at the bivouac of Punta Manara, with its belvedere. Going up the steep staircase, you can admire the ruins of a lookout tower. Thus you arrive at 139 meters above sea level, from here it is possible to continue further and go up Monte Castello or climb and descend towards Riva Trigoso.
