The Riviera di Levante

Portofino

For lovers of chic and exclusive environments, it is impossible not to visit the beautiful Portofino, also reachable by train or by boat, a renowned tourist destination for VIPs and show business people. Pastel-colored houses, exclusive boutiques and restaurants with fish specialties overlook the cobbled Piazzetta overlooking the harbor, where megayachts are moored. A path connects the Piazzetta to Castello Brown, a sixteenth-century fortress with an adjoining museum inside which art exhibitions are set up and which offers views of the town and the Ligurian Sea.

Camogli and San Fruttuoso

Camogli is a romantic seaside village overlooking the Golfo Paradiso, well known for its small port and for the tall colorful buildings along the seafront. Do not miss the famous fish festival on the second Sunday of May, where the legendary giant pan is used. From here it is possible to reach, by footpath or boat, the bay of San Fruttuoso, very famous for the monumental complex of the abbey of San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte and the famous Christ of the Abyss, which can also be reached by freediving.
