The Riviera di Levante

Bay of Silence

Sestri Levante is called the "city of the two seas". In fact, it is enclosed between two bays: the Baia delle Favole, the easternmost point of the Gulf of Tigullio, in front of Portofino and the very famous and suggestive Baia del Silenzio. It is an enchanting beach, of fine white sand, framed by characteristic houses, one attached to the other, painted with the typical Genoese colors. It is enclosed between the former Convent of the Annunziata, directly overlooking the sea, which hosts many events in all seasons and for all ages, and the Convent of the Capuchin Friars, perched on the hill that embraces the bay.
